Cran-Apple Gin Holiday Cocktail

I added this cran-apple gin holiday cocktail recipe to my new recipe journal. I juiced fresh cranberries and apples to create a homemade simple syrup for the cocktail. The syrup added so much flavor. You have to try it over the holidays if you’re looking for a sweet fruity cocktail to share with your guests.

Equipment

  • 1 Juicer
  • 1 shaker
  • 1 strainer
  • 1 pot

Ingredients
  

For the Cran-Apple Simple Syrup

  • 2 Apples
  • 1 cup Cranberries
  • 1/2 cup Sugar

For the Cocktail

  • 1 oz Cran-apple simple syrup
  • 3/4 oz Lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 oz Gin

Instructions
 

For the Cran-Apple Simple Syrup

  • Wash and add cranberries and sliced apples into the juicer
  • Pour 1/2 cup of the juice in a measuring cup
  • Heat a pot over medium heat. Pour sugar and juice into pot and whisk until it bubbles for 4 mins
  • Pour 1 oz of the cooked simple syrup into a shot glass and set aside

For the Cocktail

  • Add ice to shaker
  • Add fresh lemon juice, gin, and cran-apple simple syrup to shaker and shake
  • Strain and serve. Garnish with cranberries and rosemary
